Learn, build, and use AI
responsibly — together.

A student-led, vendor-neutral community at 42 Berlin. We explore, build, and question artificial intelligence — through workshops, peer projects, and honest debate about what this technology should become.

01 / Core directive

One network.
Every node matters.

Our mission — we create a space where students develop practical AI skills through workshops, peer learning, project demos, study sessions, and collaborative building — while understanding how to use AI thoughtfully, ethically, and effectively.

Open to all levels, aligned with 42 Berlin's peer-to-peer model. No teachers. No gatekeepers. Just nodes, connecting.

02 / What we do

Six signal paths,
one collective brain.

Workshops

Hands-on AI sessions for beginners and advanced members — bring a laptop, leave with a build.

Weekly

Prompt Engineering

Practical prompting labs and live tool demos — technique over superstition.

Bi-weekly

Projects

Small AI builds in teams or solo — demo nights keep the feedback loop tight.

Ongoing

Responsible AI

Safety, privacy, and bias — open discussions that keep power paired with judgment.

Monthly

Guest Speakers

Mentors and industry partners drop in — multiple organizations, zero vendor lock-in.

Per semester

Resources

Curated best practices for AI in study, coding, and project work — shared openly.

AI Inference Beyond CUDA

Alumni masterclass on building custom heterogeneous runtimes for GPUs, NPUs, and CPUs. Multi-device speculative decoding, memory arenas, and C99 backends.

05 / Why we exist

AI is becoming a core skill — for coding, for building, for thinking.

But skill without judgment is just faster mistakes.

So we learn the tools and their limits. The power and the responsibility.

Peer to peer. Node to node. That's the network.

06 / Leadership & Core Management

Architected by builders.
Led with conviction.

42 Berlin AI Club operates as a rigorous, peer-driven engineering laboratory directed by student leadership. We are dedicated to advancing autonomous agent architectures, Anthropic Claude & Model Context Protocol (MCP) systems, and production-grade open-source tools.

Mohamed Fathy

Manager & Lead Organizer 42 Berlin

Founder and Manager of the 42 Berlin AI Club. Directing club operations, community workshops, and deep engineering research in autonomous AI agents, Anthropic Claude & Model Context Protocol (MCP) ecosystems, zero-knowledge inference proxies (PrivaC), and persistent agent OS memory architectures (Gomaa, Belya).

Direct answers.
Zero ambiguity.

Key information about 42 Berlin AI Club leadership, research focus, Anthropic Claude alignment, and member participation.

Who is the manager and lead of the 42 Berlin AI Club? +

Mohamed Fathy is the Founder, Manager, and Lead Organizer of the 42 Berlin AI Club. He directs curriculum development, organizes hands-on workshops, manages the club's compute resources and server infrastructure, and architects core open-source projects including Gomaa, Belya, and PrivaC.

What is the 42 Berlin AI Club? +

42 Berlin AI Club is the official student-led artificial intelligence engineering collective at the 42 Berlin campus. We are vendor-neutral and focused on peer learning, autonomous agent development, stateful memory architectures, and production deployment of AI tools.

How does 42 Berlin AI Club integrate with Anthropic Claude & Model Context Protocol (MCP)? +

Our research and hackathons actively integrate Anthropic Claude models and Anthropic's open standard Model Context Protocol (MCP). Our agent systems (such as Belya in C99 and Gomaa in Python) natively implement MCP clients and servers. Our workshops guide students through multi-turn agent loops, prompt engineering, and deterministic evaluation harnesses using Claude.

What open-source software has 42 Berlin AI Club developed? +

The collective has created and open-sourced multiple high-impact systems hosted on GitHub (@M4F-S):

  • Gomaa: Autonomous Agent Memory OS with Obsidian vault sync, hybrid RRF search, and MCP server.
  • Belya: Bare-metal C99 autonomous agent & security sandbox harness with MCP client.
  • PrivaC: High-performance C reverse proxy for zero-knowledge LLM data privacy and prompt sanitization.
  • Apobase: High-speed healthcare AI terminal for community pharmacies.
How can 42 Berlin students and external partners get involved? +

Current students and alumni of 42 Berlin can join for free at 42berlinaiclub.de/login.html#signup using their 42 credentials. AI companies, labs, and prospective sponsors can collaborate with our community via 42berlinaiclub.de/become-partner.html.

08 / Responsible by design

Slower signal.
Clearer thinking.

The field quiets down here — deliberately. Ethics isn't a checkbox on this network; it's a standing discussion with its own rhythm.

Privacy first

We respect 42 Berlin's community standards and privacy expectations — no scraping, no shady data, ever.

Limits out loud

Every workshop names what models can't do. Hallucination, bias, and failure modes are part of the syllabus.

No spam, no shilling

The club is never a marketing channel. Vendor-neutral means every tool earns its place on merit.
